Title: Entertainment Crew

As a provider of interactive games and entertainment, RAH is looking for exuberant, friendly, helpful and hard-working individuals to help set-up and supervise our attractions at locations throughout Chicagoland and the Midwest.
Candidates must have neat, corporate friendly appearance; be outgoing; be good with kids and adults and be willing to work hard-either alone or with a team. Some heavy lifting is required (75 lbs).

Job Description:
- Our warehouse and offices are located at 1495 Tonne Road in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Applicants must be able to get to our location on time, so that they can load the attractions onto our vehicles and get to the performance location on time.
- A legal driver's license is very helpful, but not required. There is not a good, quick public transportation system to get to our warehouse, so having your own legal transportation is helpful to get to the warehouse at 1495 Tonne Road, Elk Grove Village.
- Some heavy lifting is required to move attractions on and off our trucks and to their performance location (approx. 75lbs).
- Record-A-Hit events are usually in fun situations, but they do require crew with energy, strength, a pleasant disposition, a neat appearance and a willingness to pitch-in, follow directions and work within a team.
- The events are often outside in the Spring, Summer and Fall, when we are the busiest, for those people who like to be in the great outdoors. It does slow down a bit during the cooler months, but the holidays are pretty lively. Most events take place in the Chicagoland area. We also do long distance jobs at sites in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio for festivals, post proms, college events, etc.
- We like crew who enjoy and interact with people, from the very young to the old. We also like crew who treat our equipment carefully and with respect.
- Compensation for crew starts at $88 per 8 hour event. Job starts from the call time (the predetermined time you must arrive at our warehouse in Elk Grove Village for each individual job) until the time you depart for home after returning and putting attractions away after the event at 1495 Tonne Road in Elk Grove Village. The average length of job is usually 8 hours which includes 2 hours to allow for loading-delivery-setup, 4 hours attentive supervision of the attractions at performance site, and 2 hours to load/return and put away attractions at our warehouse. If job time exceeds 8 hours for justifiable reasons, we do pay overtime. If job is less than 8 hours, you still get the regular flat rate compensation.
- It's freelance, you work when you have time in your schedule. Crew is considered an "Independant Contractor" and are responsible for their own taxes and social security. It is recommended that Crew carry their schedule with them so they can reply in a prompt manner to RAH to get booked on jobs. Jobs are distributed on first-come, first-serve basis. It is beneficial to have a cell phone, a reliable answering machine or answering service so you can reply to any job offers quickly.
- Great for students, theatre people and others who have flexible schedules or are looking for part-time work. No set number of hours can be guaranteed. The amount you work is based on RAH bookings and your schedule, availablity and performance. Events are usually scheduled with crew a week or two in advance by our scheduler.
- Crew invoices RAH monthly for all jobs worked and are paid on the 5th of the following month.
- RAH provides a uniform shirt, but does require a deposit which is reimbursed when employment finishes working for RAH.
- WE DRUG TEST ALL APPLICANTS PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
