Ladder Golf Rules of Play

1 or 2 Ladders, 2-4 players per game. Each player has 3 golf ball bolas in their team color.

Set toss line (where participants will stand while tossing their bola) Usually 15 feet from the game ladder. Children can move toss line closer.

First player tosses all 3 bolas. Next player on other team continues. Winner of the toss goes first in the next round.

Rounds end when points total exactly 21. Going over does not count. It must be exactly 21. Get points as detailed below.

Scoring:  After all bolas have been tossed. Scoring is determined by the bolas that still remain hanging on the ladder. If bola is knocked off during play, it does not count. Bolas can be bounced off the ground.

Bolas hanging on top step are worth 3 points.

Bolas hanging on middle step are worth 2 points.

Bolas hanging on bottom stem are worth 1 point.

1 point bonus can be earned by hanging all 3 bolas from the same step, or by hanging one on each step in one round. Highest points available is 10 (this is achieved by hanging all 3 bolas on the top step.)

With multiple ladders, 2 players on opposing teams can play on one side, and the other two opposing players would be at the other game ladder.  One side would toss all bolas, then the other team would toss them.
